For the annual NASCAR Throwback race weekend at Darlington Raceway this year, Hendrick Motorsports and Chase Elliott are running a special paint scheme on the No. 9 UniFirst Chevrolet ZL1 that honors Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s 2014 Daytona 500 win in the No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet. In addition, Elliott will also don a replica-designed driver suit and Earnhardt’s signature skeleton gloves.

GIVE HAPPY with the Combined Federal Campaign https://eangmt.org/2023/10/07/give-happy-with-the-combined-federal-campaign/ Sat, 07 Oct 2023 09:00:03 +0000 https://mteang.org/2023/10/07/give-happy-with-the-combined-federal-campaign/

Every year, federal employees and retirees rally to support charities they choose through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). It’s amazing to see how giving a little out of each paycheck can add up to so much happiness when we all give together … and, studies show when you GIVE HAPPY, you get happy too! The 2024 CFC Charitable Giving Period began on September 1, 2023, and will run through January 15, 2024.

If you are a Federal employee, AGR or active military, or work for another employer who offers CFC payroll deduction, please consider selecting the EANGUS-WCFA National Guard Relief Foundation (Charity Code: 11859) as your charity of choice. Federal retirees also have an opportunity to support the causes they care about by giving through the CFC via a deduction from their annuity.

Established in 1992 by EANGUS, the National Guard Relief Foundation provides emergency relief grants and interest-free loans to currently serving National Guard Airmen and Soldiers of all ranks as well as honorably discharged and retired Guard members. The financial assistance provided by the Foundation helps National Guard members who have suffered a catastrophic loss or personal hardship, as well as those impacted by natural disasters. Please join us in our mission to support National Guard members and their families; your donation will be used to provide grants to those with a verified emergency need.

Please download, post, and share this year’s NGRF CFC Flyer

Typhoon Mawar – Support for Guam https://eangmt.org/2023/06/09/typhoon-mawar-support-for-guam/ Fri, 09 Jun 2023 04:08:39 +0000 https://mteang.org/2023/06/09/typhoon-mawar-support-for-guam/

Guam continues to clean up after Typhoon Mawar slammed into the small Pacific island on May 24th. The estimated sustained winds of 140 mph destroyed homes, flipped cars and resulted in significant flooding. While members of the Guam National Guard responded to the widespread devastation, at least a dozen had their own homes destroyed and hundreds lost power, household goods, food and basic necessities.

The National Guard Relief Foundation has received over 400 requests for assistance at this time and we are working with the Guam Family Programs staff to help as many as possible.

If you would like to help, please make a ‘Disaster Relief’ donation at the link below – all those donations will be earmarked for our Guam National Guard families. Thank you!

Donate now to help National Guard Families affected by the Hurricanes https://eangmt.org/2022/09/30/donate-now-to-help-national-guard-families-affected-by-the-hurricanes/ Fri, 30 Sep 2022 16:32:18 +0000 https://mteang.org/2022/09/30/donate-now-to-help-national-guard-families-affected-by-the-hurricanes/

NATIONAL GUARD HOMES AND LIVES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THE RECENT HURRICANES....

Donate now to help National Guard Families affected by the Hurricanes

The impact of Hurricanes Fiona and Ian are being felt throughout Puerto Rico, Florida, and the entire southeast.  The hurricanes and their associated storms and flooding have devastated the lives of Americans across the region. National Guard Soldiers and Airman are on duty and answering the call to help others in these areas, while many of their own homes and property were also affected.  The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) is soliciting donations for the National Guard Relief Foundation so that we can help those National Guard members and families in need. We have already heard of at least a half dozen Soldiers in Puerto Rico who have lost their homes, and we’ve received grant applications from over 30 more Puerto Rico Soldiers and Airmen (so far) who need to replace basic household goods and food that was lost due to the damage and widespread power outages.  With the most recent devastation that occurred across the State of Florida, we expect to receive a large number of grant applications from those Soldiers and Airmen over the next few weeks or more as they start their recovery process.

The National Guard Relief Foundation is here to help them; however, with the significant losses caused by Hurricanes Fiona and Ian and projected future needs, we are asking for your help. Please consider making a donation to the National Guard Relief Foundation to show your support for our Guard Family.  All disaster relief donations received will be used to provide direct support to those in need.  The EANGUS We Care for America / National Guard Relief Foundation is a 501c(3) charitable organization so your donation is tax-deductible.

Donations for our Disaster Relief Program are being accepted on our website using the button below or at https://eangus-wcfa.org/donation-3/

For more information about the National Guard Relief Foundation, or if you know of a National Guard member impacted by these hurricanes, another catastrophic situation or financial hardship, please refer them to our website at:  https://eangus-wcfa.org/  Applications for grants and no-interest loans are being accepted now – eligibility criteria is shown on our website. Membership in EANGUS is not required to apply for assistance.  Questions may be directed to director@eangus-wcfa.org

Thank you for your support!
